This is the first of the new Chase Bank prototype to be built in Florida located off East Fletcher in Tampa. Not only is it a new look but it is a much more sustainable building, both to build and operate. This prototype replaces structural components of the building that were constructed primarily out of concrete and masonry with steel. There are lots of advantages in construction to using steel compared to the traditional concrete block and cast in place concrete. One benefit is Energy Efficiency. With concrete and masonry, energy consumption is the biggest environmental concern with production. Pollution concerns associated with concrete center on two main factors: one is carbon dioxide emissions from cement production and the second is particulate emissions from cement production. BDG is happy to help bring this sustainable prototype to Florida.
