This 94-unit affordable senior housing community is planned adjacent to St. Petersburg's Historic Gas Plant District and the Pinellas Trail. Developed in partnership with Atlantic Pacific Companies, Pinellas County Housing Authority, and Ascension Real Estate Partners, the seven-story Project will provide high-quality housing for lower-income seniors in a walkable location with access to transportation, services, and recreation. The community was selected by Mayor Ken Welch as part of the Historic Gas Plant District redevelopment initiative. The Project responds to both a growing need for affordable senior housing and the history of the Historic Gas Plant District. A housing preference for seniors with documented ties to the former neighborhood will help reconnect residents and families to a place that remains an important part of St. Petersburg's identity. Through thoughtful design and long-term affordability, the development creates new housing opportunities while honoring the community's legacy.
