Ben, an Architecture Associate at BDG Architects, grew up in Rochester, NY, where his passion for architecture began in elementary school through building with Legos. His interest grew in high school after taking Revit and design courses, leading him to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture and Planning at the University at Buffalo. During college, Ben thrived in collaborative studio environments, where he honed his creativity and problem-solving skills, often finding inspiration through music. A course on Architecture & the Human Body deepened his understanding of how space and design influence human perception. After graduating, Ben worked at a Buffalo-based architecture firm, gaining experience across mixed-use, residential, commercial, and higher education projects. He also collaborated with the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) on historic restoration projects, further fueling his dedication to the field.
