Hellen is an Architecture Associate with a lifelong passion for design. Growing up in Tampa, she spent her childhood building “clubhouses” from leftover materials around her family home, sparking her early interest in construction and creativity. In 2014, her family relocated to Richmond, Virginia, where she deepened her passion for architecture, drawn to its ability to transform communities through thoughtful design. Ten years later, Hellen returned to Tampa to continue her education full-time, with the goal of becoming a licensed architect. She aspires to lead sustainable and affordable housing projects, driven by a desire to improve her local community. A first-generation American, Hellen’s family hails from San Pedro Sula, Honduras, while she was born in Stamford, Connecticut. In her spare time, she enjoys sketching landscapes in graphite, refinishing furniture, and hand-building ceramics. She is also the proud owner of Bentley, a miniature dachshund who has been her constant companion.
