Originally from Colombia, Maria brings a diverse background in both residential and commercial design projects shaped by nearly 15 years living in Massachusetts before relocating to Florida several years ago. She began her professional career working on residential projects alongside a freelance mentor before transitioning into commercial work as an Assistant Project Manager and Designer, where she supported the management of life science facilities, including high-tech laboratories in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After continuing her residential project experience in Florida, Maria recently returned to the commercial sector with a focus on expanding her knowledge, experiencing new workflows, and preparing to pursue her AREs. Outside of work, she enjoys helping animals, spending time with her pets and family, creating charcoal and digital portraits, and learning new languages.
