Helios donates another $1 million for education initiative in Tampa

We are proud to have designed their Tampa office, which serves as a collaborative space for a variety of community outreach events to support their mission.

A little over a year after the Helios Education Foundation gave $1.5 million alongside the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and USAmeriBank, history was repeated.
On Tuesday, Helios announced it would be following through on a promise to donate another $1 million to what became the Fuse Scholarship fund. A year ago, the additional funding was made contingent upon the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay raising $500,000 within two years.
However, that only took about 14 months.
"I remember thinking it was an aspirational goal," said Paul Luna, president and CEO of Helios. "There's a level of trust you have, where it seems like a great idea and you think 'I really do hope it works.' And here we are, long before the time we've given ourselves, and I think that's an indication of when you come together to do what's truly right — to serve students — the community will come together and leadership will come together."
