Development Services - Permitting Coordinator
BDG Architects has an opening for a Development Services – Permitting Coordinator, working from our downtown Tampa, FL office. In this position the team member will be involved with a variety of development services and administrative support functions. Experience in construction, engineering, architecture or planning preferred.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare client based Due Diligence/Site Investigation reports
- Research jurisdictional requirements for project approvals (Site Reviews, Re-zoning, Architectural Reviews, Land Disturbance Permits, ROW Permits, Stormwater & Drainage Permits, Building Permits)
- Assemble plan review packages for submittal to jurisdictions
- Project Tracking and Document Management
- Track permit submissions for various clients; maintain tracking spreadsheet

Project Architect
BDG Architects is currently seeking a skilled, imaginative, and driven Project Architect to join our team. This full-time position will be situated in our Tampa, FL office. Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience and hold a valid license to practice architecture within an NCARB jurisdiction in the United States. The role will involve working on a variety of projects, including those within the Banking & Financial Services, Commercial, Retail, Hospitality, and other sectors. Applicants should exhibit proficiency in AutoCAD and have the capability to manage multiple projects while meeting fast-paced production deadlines. Experience with Revit is advantageous. Roles and Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
- Take charge of project management to ensure timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, maintenance of high-quality standards, and fulfillment of client expectations.
- Foster open communication channels between the project team, Principal-in-Charge, and operations management to facilitate seamless coordination and alignment of objectives.
- Establish, refine, and uphold project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and meticulously track budgets and schedules for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Assist in preparation of fee proposals and agreements with the owner and consultants.
- Supervise and direct the project team’s activities, ensuring clarity of objectives and effective organization.
- Guarantee efficient project delivery and maintain quality standards throughout all phases, from programming to project closeout.
- Coordinate monthly billing with accounting department.
- Serve as the main point of contact for designated projects, fostering client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and contributing to ongoing client development. Additionally, assist in securing future project opportunities.
- Manage and assist with work on all phases of various architectural projects including design development, preparation of presentation drawings and specifications, design review, coordination and correlation of construction drawings and review production drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate as a peer client liaison to aid in the development and implementation of client-established processes and procedures. The Program Architect is also responsible for generating reports to maintain clients informed about the overall program status and specific project updates.
- Support supervision of production staff, and assist in establishing training activities.

BDG Architects has an immediate need for a Project Manager to work with our Program Studio for a national client portfolio, working from our downtown Tampa, FL office. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for project management to ensure projects are completed on time, are within budget, of high quality and fulfill client expectations.
- Maintain communication with the project team, the Principal-in-Charge and operations management.
- Establish and improve project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Coordinate and track project budgets and schedules.
- Frequent travel to the client’s job sites will be required.
- Assist in preparation of fee proposals and agreements with the owner and consultants.
- Manage and oversee work of project team and provide direction and organization.
- Ensure efficient project delivery and quality from programming through project closeout.
- Coordinate monthly billing with accounting department.
- Act as primary client contact for specific projects, ensure client development and satisfaction and assist to secure ongoing work.
- Manage and assist with work on all phases of various architectural projects.
