He is familiar with working quickly with small teams and also being part of large scale projects. His drafting skills initially began with AutoCAD and Revit, but he always has an eye on the future for new technologies that help the Architectural process. Abe says he is a curious explorer by nature, always trying new restaurants and breweries, hiking in the woods, kayaking, biking, or traveling anywhere he can.

As for personal qualities, the defining aspect of his personality is his intense desire to create. Jason also enjoys problem solving, especially in terms of creative projects. Through Auburn’s architectural program, Joe worked on the “Music Man House” project apart of the Rural Studio program. While attending Auburn he also participated in a study abroad program in Rome. Originally from Michigan, Mark recently relocated to Florida. He has extensive knowledge in Residential design as well as experience in the commercial and light industrial industries. His background consists of 15 years in residential construction ranging from excavation, foundations, framing, roofing, siding, windows/doors, finish carpentry work. Unfortunately Mark had a life changing eye injury while working construction that forced him to reconsider his career choice. He had always enjoyed building things and excelled in the exploratory AutoCAD classes in High School so after his eye injury, he decided to pursue a degree in Architecture. Upon graduation, he worked for a MEP firm doing power and electrical design work. He then took a job in the Facilities Engineering Department for Dart Container Corporation’s corporate branch. He worked on light industrial projects, office fit-outs and new buildings on their corporate campus. From there Mark worked for an architecture firm where he specialized in High-end Residential Design. Outside of work, Mark enjoys doing just about anything outside, including golfing, kayaking, boating, fishing, and sporting events.

During her time in school, Rebecca participated in clubs such as Union Board and ASID, where she served as the chapter president her senior year. She aims to further her career by becoming a licensed interior designer in the near future. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, exploring the city, and being outdoors.

Regan is a Tampa native that studied Interior Architecture at the University of Florida. After receiving her BA in design, with a major in Interior Design, she joined the BDG team shortly after in 2022. She is passionate about design, architecture, and sustainability in the built environment. Her goal is to end up working in a hospitality, multi-family housing or healthcare side of the field. During part of her senior year at UF, Regan traveled through different parts of Italy and France soaking in all the beautiful architecture and design. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family outdoors, going to the gym and playing with her dogs.

He found his way back home to his roots while attending the University of South Florida for his Master of Architecture Degree. He is a Cuban American who is very detail-oriented and captivated by the problem-solving processes in practicing architecture. Obsessed with the outdoors, you can be sure to find him somewhere out on the water enjoying nature and fishing with his extra free time.

Rick joined BDG Architects in 2019 bringing with him over 20 years of experience in project and program management. His record of success and experience includes roles with various project types, sizes and complexity including retail, banking, restaurants, roller-coasters and multi-use buildings for numerous local and national clients. This experience serves him well with his position at BDG Architects and responsibilities on the Construction and Contract Administration Team. Rick is from the former American Canal Zone located in the Republic of Panama and is bi-lingual. He loves to learn new things and going on adventures. In his spare time he practices landscape design, works in his garden, and plays with his two boxers Lady Bug and Cricket.

Outside of BDG, she enjoys the outdoors by biking, golfing, and urban hiking.

Sherif graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Modern Science and Arts University, Cairo, Egypt. He has over 15 years of experience in architectural Construction Documents and managing large international projects. On the east coast of the United States, Sherif has worked extensively in the commercial and retail markets while pursuing his architectural licensure. Outside of work, Sherif is also a licensed commercial drone pilot, a photographer, a videographer, and a drummer.

When she’s not working, Susan enjoys traveling, site-seeing and spending time with her family.

Tiffany has worked in the construction and design industries for over 4 years. She originally started as an operations manager for a residential construction company, then went on to accounting for a kitchen design company before joining BDG. Tiffany previously studied Staging and Interior design at New York Institute of Art & Design. She is also a self-proclaimed “math nerd” so working in accounting for a design firm is the best of both worlds. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and her aussie, working out at the gym, or going to the pool.

Tim joined BDG Architects in 2023 with over 30 years of experience in project and facilities management. Originally from New Jersey Tim and his family relocated to Florida in 1989. For the past 26 years Tim has worked on the Regions Bank account for a large corporation providing facilities and project management services. Through this time Tim has experienced a fantastic working relationship with PKA, now BDG’s South Studio group. Tim enjoys playing the piano, his church, spending time with his wife, family, and five spectacular grandchildren.

Valerie is the face of BDG Architects in our Birmingham office managing reception functions for our front desk. She is the first point of contact for clients visiting or calling our office as she juggles her various administrative duties to help keep the office running smoothly. Valerie has a keen understanding of the life of a project bringing to the table her prior experience working with an electrical contractor. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her three sons and grandson, whom she refers to as her sunshine.
