Tampa Heights YMCA to be reborn as anchor of mixed-use development

Our partners at FleischmanGarciaMaslowski Architecture (FGM) have been working with Ellison Development, Kimley-Horn, and the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA on a master plan for a new mixed-use development in Tampa Heights. The proposed 6.20-acre development will more than double the space of the current Central City YMCA. It will include a new 110,000-square foot YMCA with a rooftop pool, over 20,000 square feet of curated green space, a 200-room luxury hotel, 184,000 square feet of office, 100,000 square feet of retail space, a portion of which will be dedicated to minority-owned businesses, and 477 residential units. At least 10% of the residential units will be designated for affordable housing. A groundbreaking is planned for next year with a scheduled completion date of 2029. We are so proud of the FGM team and we look forward to watching this miniature city develop!
