Our team was retained by the University of South Florida's Tampa Campus to design a one-story elementary charter school to serve the needs of at-risk children in the USF area. The project consists of 12 classrooms adjoined to one another to support the philosophy of "Continuing Progress." A media/art room with clerestory windows and a curved roof with exposed structure is located at the center of the building. A multi-purpose/lunchroom and resource rooms complete the school's amenities.
This project was the recipient of the following awards:
Florida Educational Facilities Planners' Association Architectural Showcase Award - Merit for Outstanding Achievement - 2004
