Florida College, in historic Temple Terrace, a Tampa suburb known for its Mediterranean Revival architecture, selected our team to provide master planning services for the entire West Campus and to design two new residence halls.
Located on the site of the historic Boswell Hall, the new men's residence hall is designed to resemble the historic structure and features over 300 beds, allowing all the male students on campus to reside in one facility. The residence halls feature suite-style living, complete with high-speed internet access and common areas for study and fellowship.
Terrace Hall, the new women's residence, houses approximately 90 students and augments the existing women's residence facilities. It is also designed in the Mediterranean Revival style to respect the historic architecture of the Florida College campus.
Both buildings were designed with controlled access to ensure the safety and security of the students. In addition, each residence hall includes an apartment for a residence director to more effectively assist and monitor daily student activities. Also included within each building are recreational/social areas and laundry facilities. These new residence halls help lay the groundwork for increased enrollment at the college and provide an improved living and learning environment for the students.
