BDG Architects worked with Delaware North Companies on the food and beverage renovations throughout Tampa International Airport’s terminals. Today marked the grand openings of two more of our projects at Tampa International Airport: Illy Caffé at Airside E and the World Duty Free shop at Airside F. Keep an eye out for these new additions next time you fly TIA!

TIA’s newest Irish pub and restaurant will have the authentic thatched roof that is at its original location on Tampa’s Platt Street. The new site will also be baking Irish soda bread at the airport fresh each day. Joe Lopano, TIA’s chief executive officer, called Four Green Fields a Tampa landmark that “will bring local flavor” to the airport’s offering of eateries. Read more.
Tampa International Airport is expanding its TPA All Access program, which opens the airsides to the public so non-flyers can enjoy its restaurants and retail (including BDG Architects-designed Rumfish Grille, Four Green Fields, The Café by Mise en Place and more).

In 2015, the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Board awarded 12 concessions contracts, a mix of 65 new shops, restaurants, kiosks and bars throughout the airport, many outposts of notable local brands. A dynamic and incisive effort to put Tampa Bay’s best foot forward with visitors, it also reflects a national trend, airports moving from a master concessioneer model (one company overseeing the whole shebang) to a multiple concessioneer model.
